The 2015 Pittsburgh Penguins playoff run is underway. Unfortunately, the playoffs may not last long for the Pittsburgh Penguins. But, my beard grows fast (and gray). So, we'll have some fun and raise some money for a couple of causes that Molly and I care about.
Again this year, we are participating in the Penguins Beard A Thon to raise money for theLemieux Foundation. This charity supports many great causes including The Children's Home of Pittsburgh.
The Children’s Home is one of our favorite charities because I was adopted from there (as was my brother and sister). If it weren’t for the Children’s Home, I simply wouldn’t have my family and my wonderful parents. And, the Children’s Home continues to do great work today-decades after I left there as a baby.
Anyway, growing my beard until the Penguins win the Stanley Cup (or are knocked out of the playoffs) is the continuation of a long hockey tradition. So, this a true Win-Win. We support the Pens and we support two great causes.
